About Our Scholarship Fund

At the Indie Author Revolution (IAR), we believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to tell their story—regardless of income level, background, or circumstances. Our mission is to empower low-income and underrepresented writers by removing the financial barriers to publishing.

The IAR Scholarship Program provides direct funding to help cover essential publishing costs, including editing, cover design, formatting, marketing, ISBNs, and more.

Because stories change lives—and so can you.

Our scholarship recipients include:

  • First-time authors from underrepresented communities

  • Writers from low-income households

  • Marginalized voices with stories that deserve to be heard

  • Passionate creatives ready to publish but lacking the means

Each recipient undergoes an application and vetting process. Funds are applied directly to their publishing journey and monitored by the IAR board to ensure impact and accountability.

In our first year, we aim to:

  • Award scholarships to at least 2 deserving authors

  • Raise $5,000 in donor contributions

  • Build a sustainable fund for future scholarships and support
